Led Light Therapy, get to know this high-tech treatment
LED light therapy, also known as light therapy, is a high-tech treatment that uses LED lights to improve the appearance of the skin. LED lights are used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including acne, wrinkles, and sun damage.
LED light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that requires no recovery time.
What is LED light therapy?
LED light therapy is a type of light therapy that uses LED lights to emit specific wavelengths of light that stimulate cell activity and promote healing, improving the appearance of the skin. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode, and these types of lights are often used in skin care because they penetrate deep into the skin without damaging it. Originally developed by NASA in the 1990s for plant growth, it was later found to be effective in helping astronauts heal wounds by helping cells and tissues grow.
LED light therapy can be used to treat a variety of skin problems, including wrinkles, fine lines, acne, and more. A safe and effective way to achieve healthier, younger looking skin. It is usually done in series and the number of treatments required depends on the condition being treated.
How does LED light therapy work?
High-intensity light-emitting diodes (LEDs) using specific, proven wavelengths of light can have a natural biostimulatory effect on human tissue, in the same way that plants use chlorophyll to convert sunlight into energy.
Research has shown that LEDs can increase collagen production, kill acne bacteria, improve skin tone, texture and clarity, reduce inflammation, accelerate wound healing and provide other anti-aging benefits.
Cells absorb light particles (photons) and convert their energy into adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the form of energy used by cells. The increase in ATP is then used to enhance metabolic activities; production of DNA, RNA, proteins, enzymes and other compounds needed to repair or regenerate cellular components; stimulation of mitosis; and restoration of homeostasis.
Simply put, the LED light therapy source supplies diseased cells with extra energy, allowing them to function better. For example, fibroblast cells increase the synthesis of collagen and elastin in connective tissue to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and accelerate wound healing.
Advantages of LED light therapy:
• LED light therapy is non-invasive
• Helps improve skin complexion
• Reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines
• Promotes circulation
• Reduces the appearance of scars
• Increases collagen synthesis
• Increases elastin production
• Kills acne bacteria
• Reduces inflammation
• Helps repair sun damage
• Speed up healing
Different colored LED lights and their benefits for the skin:
The blue LED light is often used to treat acne because it has antibacterial properties.
The red LED light reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by stimulating collagen production.
The yellow LED light has a spot-dimming effect.
The green LED light calms the skin and reduces rosacea.
LED light therapy is a high-tech treatment that can benefit the skin in many ways. If you want to reverse the signs of aging, LED light therapy may be the right treatment for you.
